FIFA 14 Cheats: EA Sports Declares Crack Down On Ultimate Team Coin Bots Ahead Of FIFA 15, Will Permanently Ban Accounts

EA Sports is cracking down on FIFA 14 cheaters in a big way with FIFA 15 ahead, targeting those in particular who manipulate the Ultimate Team coin system and ruin the experience for others.

In a post on the EA’s FIFA website, the developers outlined the types of cheating that goes on in-game, and explained at length what they intend to do to stop the exploiting the system.

“Although they are a minority amongst FIFA fans, cheaters disrupt the gameplay experience and enjoyment for honest FIFA fans in a number of ways,” the post states. “These include things like overloading servers, phishing and compromising other player accounts, and participating in the unauthorized exchange of virtual currency. It’s time for us to draw a clear and strong line against cheaters who negatively impact the FIFA experience for our millions of players online.”

Some cheaters employ bots to automatically purchase items on the Ultimate Team Transfer Market and farm coins intended for sale, often in return for real money on coin exchange websites. EA shut down the transfer market to investigate the bot activity and its effects, and determined that they can make four times as many searches as all of the FUT human players combined.

FIFA 15 Player Ratings: Neymar, Sergio Aguero, And Thomas Muller Included In Next 10 Ranks Of Top 50

With the major European football leagues well under way for the 2014-15 season and FIFA 15’s release date approaching, EA Sports has begun to announce the player ratings in the upcoming title.

EA Access Will Expand In September, Includes NHL 15 And FIFA 15 Early Access Trials

FIFA 15
The developers are releasing the top 50 players according to their ratings, which began with those ranked 50 to 41 and moved on to the next set yesterday. Today EA Sports moves on to the next 10 players, who are all 86 overall.

I have a bit of an issue with the way players are rated in the FIFA series, which you can read on the initial rankings post, but here are the newly announced players ranked 30 to 21 regardless:
86 Overall: Neymar, Mats Hummels, Mesut Ozil, Thomas Muller, Marco Reus, Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooney, Yaya Toure, Xavi

A packed tier, with all 10 players in today’s reveal falling within the same rating, but mostly a fair one across the board. If there were to be changes, I would likely rate Muller and Aguero higher for their unorthodox effectiveness and ruthlessly clinical nature, respectively. Di Maria and Yaya Toure had great seasons, as well, and bumping any of those players to 87 is pretty justifiable.

Xavi’s age has seen his generational talents decline, while Rooney is touch and go in some areas of his game. I’m surprised Neymar isn’t higher given the hype around the Brazilian prodigy, but I think this rating is accurate–he wasn’t overly convincing for Barcelona last season. I’m not sure Ozil deserves to be higher than Fabregas (who is, again, rated too lowly at just an 84), but Hummels is probably in the right place. Check back for more player ratings as they come from EA Sports leading up to the game’s September 23 North America release date.

Back in business! GTA 5 returns to dominate rivals Advanced Warfare and FIFA 15 in charts

Grand Theft Auto V is back at the summit of the UK’s all-format charts, recording its fifth week at number one.

It follows the sandbox crime thriller being named the UK’s best-selling game since records began weeks earlier.

Biggest chart rivals Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare dropped to second, suffering a 61 percent reduction in sales, while FIFA 15 came in third after seeing a 51 percent decline in sales.

Activision also saw Bungie’s newest franchise Destiny grabbed a place in the top ten, coming in at no.9.

Far Cry 4, The Crew and Assassin’s Creed Unity occupy four, five and six.

The Assassin’s Creed series meanwhile have three entries in the top 20, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag in 11 and Assassin’s Creed Rogue in 20.

Many of the top selling games saw fewer sales following Christmas and faced almost no competition from new entrants.

Nintendo’s Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, launched on December 21, fell to 40 after debuting at 16 in the charts.

VIDEO: Manuel Neuer is a football (FIFA 15) god

Have you ever wondered if there was anything involving the sport of association football that Manuel Neuer could not accomplish? We know that he can take penalties. Free kicks, perhaps? Guess. Again.

Manuel Neuer can do whatever he wants to do.

Yes, it’s just FIFA 15, but I’m not going to be the one to sit here and tell you that Neuer can’t score a free kick like that. Even former Bayern Munich forward Miroslav Klose, the greatest goalscorer in the history of the World Cup, believe that Neuer could score goals down in the 2.Bundesliga.

Now that we know Neuer can core spectacular free kicks in the game, we should put Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in goal for their respective clubs. Let’s see how well they perform. Then, it’s only fair to make a decision on who should win the Ballon d’Or based on these simulations.

I’m being told that is not an idea that FIFA will consider. It was a worthy chance to get the footballing god his just reward.

fifaRAWR’s FIFA 15 Team of the Week Predictions: Week 17

HAPPY 2015! Hope your new year has been a damn site better than mine so far…

The Premier League games from NYD and the La Liga games from this weekend both included in this week’s TOTW, alongside some other leagues such as the Turkish Super Lig and the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Cup games as ever ARE being excluded, especially given there’s a large pool of players from league matches as it is.

FIFA 15, Call of Duty are top-selling games in U.K. for 2014

It’s the last day of 2014, so let’s look back at what people spent all their cash on.

The United Kingdom’s Entertainment Retailer’s Association just sent out its list of the top 20 best-selling physical albums, movies, and games. As far as gaming is concerned, publisher Electronic Arts’ soccer sim FIFA 15 outsold all other pieces of media in the U.K. throughout the last 12 months. Consumers purchased more than 2.6 million copies of the game, which put it over Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. That Activision-published shooter racked up 1.8 million copies sold.

Other top performing games include Grand Theft Auto V and Destiny — although all games, movies, and albums were outsold by Disney’s phenomenally popular animated film Frozen.

FIFA 15 Demo: 10 Reactions You Need To Know

The dust has now settled after the release of the FIFA 15 demo and gamers have taken to social media, forums and football stadiums to voice their opinions on the latest instalment of the FIFA series.

EA Sports

Reactions have been varied from: “EA Sports have almost achieved perfection” to “Not feeling this FIFA 15 demo; don’t think I’ll be queuing up at the midnight release.”
FIFA 15 has added the ability to measure the emotional state of all 22 players in the starting line-ups – Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli will no doubt always be on edge.
Other improvements include that the pitch will show signs of wear and tear as the game progresses, players’ kits will look ready for a cringeworthy Ariel advert as they jump from slide tackle to slide tackle and defenders will now perform David Luiz’s favourite move of placing their arms behind their back to avoid conceding a handball.
Ultimately, all us guys and dolls want, come September 26th,, is the most authentic and enjoyable football game possible.

10. How Do They Choose Their Demo Teams?

EA Sports

Each year when the demo is released, fans always hope to see their football team as one of the lucky eight selected to take the new FIFA release for a test drive.
For FIFA 15, EA Sports opted for: Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool, Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea, Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City, Luis Enrique’s Barcelona, Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund, Laurent Blanc’s Paris Saint-Germain, Rafael Benitez’s Napoli and Rodolfo Arruabarrena’s Boca Juniors.

Why not throw in Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town? Or an obscure team such as Enner Valencia’s – now of West Ham – former team, Mexican club side C.F. Pachuca? We’d all loved to have been able to take Alessandro Del Piero’s Delhi Dynamos for a spin.

Basically, just a bit of variety would’ve been welcomed as Borussia Dortmund, Boca Juniors, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona were part of the eight sides selected for the FIFA 14 demo.

Come to think of it, those sides have probably made up a lot of the demos in recent seasons.
